YOHO MIX, developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, is located in Yuen Long, northwest of the New Territories, and is set to be completed successfully in the second quarter of this year. Maxgrand has had the privilege to be involved in this project. YOHO MIX will become the largest retail and entertainment center in the area, combining YOHO MALL I&II and the renovated YOHO PLUS, with a total retail area of over 1.2 million square feet, making it a leading shopping destination for fashion trends.

As a landmark mall, YOHO MIX showcases Sun Hung Kai Properties’ persistent focus on the development strategy of northwest New Territories consumption. It is not only a shopping center but also an important hub for promoting community integration and cultural exchange. It is evident that YOHO MIX will generate significant importance and influence in the area.

To highlight this trendy architecture, designers have carefully created a vibrant and creative space. The exterior of YOHO MIX adopts a modern geometric design, showcasing a stylish and avant-garde style, with LED light strips being the ideal choice. It is worth mentioning that for most of the project, RGBW smart LED light strips are used in conjunction with DMX (used for controlling lighting effects), allowing individual control of each part of the light strip. With compatible controllers, countless color transitions or animated effects can be achieved.

With the integration of DMX, the light strips can showcase interactive effects of different colors and rhythms on the exterior walls, creating a dazzling and mesmerizing fantasy landscape, as if immersed in a light show. Furthermore, the light strips use high-quality silicone materials, offering excellent waterproof and UV resistance performance, and they have an IP68 protection rating, perfectly adapting to harsh outdoor environments.

Furthermore, to enrich the lighting effects on the exterior walls, customized spotlights with DMX have even been implemented, creating a flickering star-like effect. The entire space exudes vibrant energy and charm at night, becoming a new landmark in the surrounding area.

Black Flag

Black Flag, an extendable wall light designed by Konstantin Grcic for FLOS. It illuminates spaces up to 3.5 meters away, creating a new typology of wall-mounted lighting with a centerpiece function.

Black Flag is both functional and visually striking. Its ability to extend brings light to the heart of any space, while its folded form resembles a sleek sculpture.

This lamp is designed to maximize illumination when open and minimize space when closed. Its folded position resembles a minimalist sculpture, and when opened, it functions as an illuminating centerpiece like a pendant light.

 

Black Flag is discreet and practical, suitable for home and office use. It meets visual comfort and workplace lighting standards, providing even illumination of at least 500 lx on work surfaces. Its indirect light softens the atmosphere and reduces contrasts.
